Gift Guide: Black-Owned Brands

My second holiday post is full of bright gift picks! All of the gift recommendations in this list are from Black-owned businesses. I am super excited to purchase items from these brands for myself & for others on my list.

#1 CLOUD SOCKS

Aurora James is an icon. In addition to starting BROTHER VELLIES, she is also the founder of the 15 PERCENT PLEDGE; this nationwide effort requests major retailers pledge 15% of their shelf space to Black-owned businesses. I ordered my first set of socks from Aurora’s collaboration with “When We All Vote” earlier this fall. This pink pair would be a lovely way to upgrade our current WFH sweatsuit uniforms.

#2 RETINOL EYE MASKS

These restorative eye mask packs from KNC BEAUTY are both chic & potent.

#3 MARBLE SWIRL CUTTING BOARD

This board is $25 & will be on sale during the holiday weekend. I just discovered EFFORTLESS COMPOSITION, a home decor company based in LA, this past week. Cannot wait to search for more eclectic but useful items from this site.

#4 FAT ICON SWEATSHIRT

AND I GET DRESSED is a super cool brand started by creator & consultant, KELLIE BROWN. I love this statement crewneck, as well the “all boobies are good boobies” mug & t-shirt.

#5 NON-TOXIC RED NAIL POLISH

This bright polish is an ideal stocking stuffer from ROOTED WOMAN. An extra bonus – this ethical beauty brand donates annually to organizations that empower women of all ages.

#6 LOGO HANDBAG

I purchased my first TELFAR bag during their BAG SECURITY PROGRAM drop this summer. It still hasn’t arrived, but I cannot wait to wear it sometime in the new year. While there are no bags currently available for sale, I included this note in the guide to encourage you to sign up for their MAILING LIST. Their emails will alert you when there are new bags in stock!

#7 WINE GLASS SET

ESTELLE COLORED GLASS is the perfect business to close out with. The craftsmanship in her colorful collection makes her wares a lovely gift option for literally any person on your list this year.
