I have many photos & stories to share from last week, and I am thrilled to be sharing THESE SPARKLY SLIDES today. The team at SPRING sent me these from their PRIDE IS LOVE COLLECTION to wear during this past Sunday’s festivities. I am extra excited to promote THIS COLLECTION, as it is making an impact on my community right here in New York City. If you purchase any item from THIS COLLECTION through 6/30, SPRING will donate 20% of all sales to support the LGBT COMMUNITY CENTER, which provides necessary & vital programs, resources, & services to support our ever-evolving LGBT community.
Once they arrived in the mail, I knew we had to shoot them at the rainbow intersection near STONEWALL. This is the second year in a row the Department of Transportation has created a colorful crosswalk. To say there were a hit at the Pride Parade would be an understatement. I already love the rainbow colors, but the sparkles take it up a notch. Living around the corner from Stonewall is one of my top sources of Pride in New York. LEWIS MILLER DESIGN partnered with EQUINOX this week to bring a “Flower Flash” to this hallowed LGBTQ+ landmark. Another reason I wanted to shoot here? For every photo snapped at one of these queer spaces covered in flowers & shared with #POWEREDBYPRIDE, EQUINOX will also donate $1 to the LGBT COMMUNITY CENTER. Help this important resource center by both sharing your photos & SHOPPING ON SPRING. I will be wearing my RAINBOW ALDO SLIDES to a special event later this week; stay tuned!
