Did you ever make gingerbread houses when you were in elementary school? I remember that our teachers used to give us paper plates with graham crackers and an empty milk carton that would act as the foundation for our candy-covered homes. Not going to lie, I usually got a little stomachache while constructing because I loved to eat icing & my sweet supplies. Tonight, I decorated the house below. I have learned, after many attempts over the years, that less is more when it comes to the overall effect. In honor of my Boston College home, I have dubbed this the 21B Gingerbread Mod! I think my roommates & I are well represented by the gummy bears.

In addition to accessorizing this candy home, here is a little list of five things that made me feel joyful.
- Eating cookies and milk while Christmas music played in the dining hall
- Drinking cocoa with whipped cream in my Databases class
- Receiving my first Pollyanna gift (my ultimate frisbee team’s version of Secret Santa)
- Hanging out with my roommates while they baked
- Walking alone under the full moon
