At some point in the recent past, Boston was not entirely covered with mountains of snow.
It seems impossible to think about that as the winter weather now affects our day-to-day activities so much. I know everyone in New England is getting a little anxious for the cold to end. I personally am planning tropical travels & looking back at fall foliage to escape this frozen tundra.
I was waiting for the right time to share these photos from the fall, and I feel like today is that day. Cindy of TUNG PHOTOGRAPHY snapped these on a bitter cold afternoon in November. The leaves were crunchy, the air was crisp, and I was able to work on projects for this blog, something I truly care about, but only because I have people like Cindy who selflessly work to help me accomplish my dreams – STYLESILIKE or otherwise.
It was a day that made feel alive & blessed in the best ways possible.

This picture of me looking at this City Line is my favorite. On my school’s campus, this sign marks the break between Newton & Brighton. Now, I look at this picture, and I imagine that it reads “New York” on one side and “Boston” on the other. I am getting excited for my move to the Big Apple next year, but I dread leaving the comfort level and genuine love I have found on this campus.
While the snow is a burden in many ways, I am grateful for it in this moment. The snow symbolizes that spring has not come yet – that there is a little time between now & graduation. It means that my time at Boston College has not come to an end yet.
Yes, I want the snow to melt away eventually, but for now, I can be happy that, in a strange & beautiful way, it’s keeping me here at BC for a little longer.
