There was a certain kind of light shining as this day came to a close, one that I could feel inside me and see in the air around me.

Can we speak plainly for a second? A Date With Denim & Kate Upton was one of the best’s moments of my life – blogging or otherwise.
Yet, I cannot fail to mention one person who made the night even more special for me. Louisa Wells, photographer and creative, who writes The Life Observed was waiting patiently outside for me to leave the event, so we could document my outfit.
She snapped these pictures in less than half an hour because she is just THAT good, and I could not be more grateful to her for chasing me all over the city with a smile on her face & a camera in hand. There’s not many who could have done what she did, especially in the 90+ degree heat we had last week.
A Date With Denim & Kate Upton was a night to remember with #EXPRESSJEANS.
However, thanks to Louisa, I will always have these snaps to look at & remind me how lucky I was to spend this summer working & playing in the city.
Another huge thank you to the Village Beauty Lounge & Rouge New York for helping me look polished for the night. Be sure to stay tuned for those posts later this week!
I hope the bright jewels & jewel tone dress in this post inspire you to make this week really sparkle in your own amazing light.
Let’s get to it.

FYI – Louisa really does work magic in the pictures above. Anyone who knows me in real life may be more accustomed to seeing me as I am above in this candid snap as we ran across the street. Thought this would make y’all laugh. Happy Tuesday!
