Catching up on one of my favorite bloggers, Damsel In Dior, while waiting at BeStyled…

It’s not everyday you meet a friend like Nuria. Earlier this month, she & I had been working on preparing a fashion show for Rent the Runway in conjunction with Boston College’s Black Student Forum. They graciously allowed us to partner with them during their annual Black Family Weekend celebrations. In appreciation of the grand nature of the show and as pseudo-models ourselves, Nuria and I paid a visit to BeStyled for quick blow-outs before the show.
For personal reasons, this day was not the easiest. However, mimosas, candy, reading The New York Times, & some relaxing time with caring friends tend to make things better.
There was only time for a quick selfie after & back to campus to change. The runway waits for no one…
Nuria & I were in our Rent the Runway dresses in a flash, and by the time, we returned to the venue a red carpet had been rolled out for the #BFWxRTRBCFashionShow attendees & #Flawless models.
I have to come clean. Nuria took so many gorgeous photos backstage before the show, and without uploading them first to my camera, I accidentally deleted them. I am sorry that I only have a couple of selfies and ONE picture of the two of us to share before I get the runway pictures back.

I was so impressed with Nuria on the runway, but I think I speak for both of us when I say the other representatives of the student body strutted, sang, and danced with more confidence and grace than I could ever probably ever muster up during a fashion show. They truly represented Boston College in every aspect of the preparation and performance itself.
Myself & Nuria were sharing updates throughout the night with #BFWxRTRBCFashionShow on my Twitter + Instagram.
If you aren’t yet, be sure to follow along for more #STYLESILIKE.
KISSES AND HUGS!

Disclosure: In order to develop the best possible content for Styles I Like throughout our partnership, I was gifted the previously mentioned Hearts and Arrows Round Diamond, on behalf of Brian Gavin Diamonds. As always, all opinions are my own, and experiences are genuine. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Styles I Like
PS – This may not be a glamour shot, but it is one of the most representative pictures of my life as a whole. In between the pre-show rehearsal and the fashion show itself, I played an hour-long “Senior Night” ultimate frisbee game with my team, the Boston College FLIX, on Alumni Stadium’s field. You may not think a sports uniform and heels go together, but I thought it looked fabulous. xo
