Shine Bright Like A Diamond

You only get one 21st birthday.

This monumental day was filled with lots of bright moments for me.

In the early morning, I visited Bellezza Si Esthetics for a relaxing spa appointment with Caterina.

After picking up a free birthday iced latte, courtesy of My Starbucks Rewards, I stopped to purchase my first bottles of champagne as a legal twenty-one year old adult.

I was able to drive away with bubbly beverages despite having an incredibly anti-climactic purchase, where no one asked to see my identification! I asked the manager to check it anyway.

Champagne – 21st Birthday Necessity 

A quick manicure and pedicure followed. Afterwards, I came home to a surprise from my grandparents who never fail to make their grandchildren feel cared about on their birthdays.

The afternoon passed, and my family gathered in the car to head towards my younger sister’s soccer game. En route, we stopped to pick up a special birthday package from Brian Gavin Diamonds.

I carefully put the diamond pendant on, and I headed to the Villa Walsh field. As I cheered for my sister, Meghan, on defense, I gave the coach’s daughter some jewels to play with. (You have to start them young…)

Once my parents were ready to join us, we headed to Cuban Pete’s, a Montclair landmark, for my birthday dinner. I wore my Brian Gavin Diamond Pendant with a Bad Monkey Boutique Minnie Top.

We enjoyed a dinner filled with my favorite things – sweet wine, delicious food, and lots of laughs.

The day ended with a special phone call to someone who made me feel loved.

Every year, my birthday always makes me reflect on what I hope for in the coming year.

I believe this simple yet beautiful Brian Gavin Diamond Pendant can be a daily reminder to strive for excellence in all that I do. When I look over the bright moments of my 21st birthday, I notice that the moments that made me the most happy were the ones where I felt care and support from those who love me. I am striving this year to find a balance between working on my own personal goals, in addition to working even harder to show that same care and support for the important people in my life.
